Wordsy is a streamlined re-implementation of Prolix.
Each turn, players study the 8 letters (always consonants) displayed on the board in real time. The first player to write a word triggers a 30-second timer. That player is now the fastest, and all other players have 30 seconds to write their word.
Once the time is up, the fastest player scores their word by counting the point value of each of the corresponding letters on the board. Players are not limited to the letters on the board; they can add any letters they want. Letters earn points based on the column of the board they are in and their rarity.
Once the fastest player has scored their points, the first player clockwise scores their word and compares it to the fastest player's. If that player has scored more points than the fastest player, they score a small bonus. All other players score their word and check if they are entitled to a bonus. Once all players have finished, the fastest player scores a bonus if their score is equal to or greater than half of the other players' scores.
After 7 rounds, players add up the scores of their 5 best words, plus their bonuses. The player with the most points wins!
The glow-in-the-dark box glows in the dark!
