WETA - The Lord of the Rings Trilogy - Zirakzigil
Aspear of stone rose into the upper airs, its jagged crown ever mantled with snow and shrouded in restless cloud. There, upon the peak, stood Durin’s Tower; once sturdy dwarven stone, now cleft by elemental fury, as shadow met light and dark flame was extinguished by storm.
From concept to sculpt, modelling and paint, our artists poured their all into bringing Zirakzigil to life: The same storied peak where Gandalf and the Balrog met in their final, fateful clash.
Every jagged edge of stone and weather-worn block of dwarven architecture was shaped with reverence for the deep history it contains.
