The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles are four humanoid mutant turtles – Leonardo, Donatello, Michelangelo, and Raphael – who were trained in ninjutsu by their mutated rat sensei, Master Splinter, and now fight crime in New York City's sewers and streets. They were exposed to a mutagen that transformed them from ordinary pet turtles into anthropomorphic beings.
