The bear, which can weigh up to 22 kilos, has to make sure it gets enough food. Because it eats almost nothing but bamboo, and the plant is not particularly nutritious, it has to keep eating for up to 16 hours a day! No wonder it has no time to play; it has to digest up to 40 kilos of bamboo! And that takes time.
