Frank's Zoo is a charming climbing card game for 3-7 players (best with 4-6), designed by Doris Matthäus and Frank Nestel. Players compete to be the first to get rid of all their cards, with scores based on how early they go out each round. The game can be played with fixed rules each hand or with changing partners for added variety.
Similar to games like The Great Dalmuti or Tichu, Frank's Zoo uses ranks of colorfully illustrated animals, where each creature can only be scared away by certain others. On your turn, you can play a set of one or more animals and the next player must play a larger set of the same animal or an equal number of animals that can drive them off. Players score points for emptying their hand, collecting lions and even picking up the hedgehog creating a lighthearted mix of strategy, partnership and fun.
