Pokemon V STAR evolve from Pokemon V and will play a major role in the Pokemon TCG metagame. Each Pokemon VSTAR has a VSTAR power (ability or attack) that has a very powerful effect that can determine the outcome of the battle. Players can only use one VSTAR power per game, and players using VSTAR power must flip the VSTAR marker during combat.
In addition to VSTAR power, Pokemon VSTAR have high HP, heavy damage, and gives up two prize cards when knocked out.
Trainers are looking forward to seeing Arceus VSTAR, Charizard VSTAR, Shaymin VSTAR, and Whimsicott VSTAR. The expansion also includes a special trainer gallery subset of 30 cards with artwork featuring trainers and Pokemon that are popular with fans.
Each Booster pack contains:
- 10 Random Pokemon TCG Cards.
- Each card has a rarity, ranging from common (the most frequently included cards) to super rare (the least frequently included cards). The standard distribution of cards in a booster pack is 6 common cards, 3 uncommon card, and 1 rare (or better) card.
