In the near future, human rights aren’t guaranteed, but they are for sale. Without your rights, you’re just a mujina, with no place to call your own and no laws to protect you. But if the laws don’t apply to you, you can do anything you want. You just need the skills to back it up. And if you’re really good, you can really make a killing.

Rooftop culture might seem cool when you’re just watching clips on social media, but trying to live without your human rights is way worse than working a dead-end job. You can’t rent an apartment, go to the clubs, or get any kind of legit employment.

The only way to make it as a mujina is to get into the assassin biz, and that all but guarantees you an imminent expiration date. But with badasses like Ubume and Tenka as outlier examples, will Junko end up giving up her rights to get out of the daily grind?
