The Islebound: Metropolis Expansion adds a fresh layer of strategy to Ryan Laukat’s seafaring civilization game. This pack introduces 40 new Building cards and 2 Reputation cards, featuring distinctive orange sunset backgrounds that mark them as advanced Metropolis structures.
When playing with this expansion, an extra row of Metropolis cards is added above the standard building cards. Only three of these cards are available at a time and purchasing them requires owning one to three books depending on their row position, along with one normal building for each Metropolis card acquired. Although more challenging to obtain, each Metropolis card is worth +1 Renown, offering high rewards for careful planning and resource management.
