With various kings, dukes, and others vying for the Iron Throne, the common folk are often forgotten. Life during wartime is cruel. Whenever an army travels through, they could plunder and kill anyone in their way.

The Brotherhood Without Banners defends the common people of Westeros and is made up of outlaws who have had enough of the Great Houses' Game of Thrones and of these "powerful nobles" going to war and tearing the common people to shreds. It is in these circumstances that the Brotherhood emerged, with members willing to use their deadly talents in the service of Lord Beric Dondarrion, the Lord of Lightning.

The Brotherhood Without Banners: Starter Set for the A Song of Ice and Fire: Tabletop Miniatures Game gives players a new faction to bring to the table; rallied from commoners, these troops fight to see that everyday people still have a voice in these tumultuous times. The starter set includes a rulebook, dice, measuring sticks, stat cards, and miniatures to field a full army. Players will receive characters such as Beric Dondarrion and Thoros of Myr, as well as several other iconic Brotherhood Without Banners units.

Each player controls one of the Great Houses of Westeros, commanding battlefield units, recruiting legendary Heroes, and manipulating the political stage, in the attempt to claim the greatest prize of all: The Iron Throne.
