The Nucleum: Patrons Set Booster mini expansion enriches the base game by adding Patron Cards—unique elements that bring fresh strategic layers and greater asymmetry to your gameplay. Each Patron Card offers several versatile abilities, and players can choose how to best utilize them to gain an advantage.
In the base game, Experiment boards are identified only by letters. This expansion personalizes each Experiment by assigning it a Patron with a distinct occupation, backstory, and beautifully illustrated card. This new thematic approach enhances immersion and player engagement.
The Patron Set renames the Experiments as follows:
• Experiment A - Banker
• Experiment B - Industry Captain
• Experiment C - Inventor
• Experiment D - Junior Minister
• Experiment E - Councilor (Requires the Court of Progress Board)
• Experiment F - Engineer
Each Patron card clearly associates with its Experiment board, providing unique one-time abilities that allow players to adapt their strategies dynamically and explore new tactical possibilities.
The Patrons Set Booster also introduces a second set of Patron Cards designed specifically for solo play. These cards add new challenges and ongoing abilities tailored for each Experiment, significantly enhancing the solo experience and making every game feel fresh and engaging.
