In Hostage Negotiator: Career you've graduated from the academy, and now it is time to begin your career. You'll play a campaign of 10 years as a negotiator that culminates in an exciting grand finale that you will never forget!

Not only will you be responsible for the lives of the innocent hostages during the crises that happen, but you'll be managing your own personal life and career advancement as well. Will the stress be too much? How will life events impact your career? How will your career choices impact your personal life?

Hostage Negotiator: Career features more than 130 new cards and an all new way to play your favorite solitaire board game. It is completely replayable and no campaign will ever be the same!

Hostage Negotiator Career is a unique expansion and in order to play requires that you own the Hostage Negotiator base game and Hostage Negotiator Crime Wave. Plus, at least 7 Abductor Packs, one of which must be Abductor Pack #7.

Each turn represents a conversation between you and the hostage taker. Play cards and roll dice to increase conversation points, decrease the threat level, and release hostages.

In this culmination of the Hostage Negotiator series, you will play ten years in the life of a negotiator - that is, if you don't retire in shame sooner.

In each "year" or campaign round of the game, you will resolve a career card that presents you with some narrative event that relates to or could impact your career based on the choice you make. Then, in most but not all years, you will be called to the scene of the latest hostage situation. Now, the result of each negotiation will impact the overall campaign, and you'll be tracking your career stress, your personal stress, your merit level (for promotions), and your rank, among other things.

There are multiple paths to victory, but the hostage taker has other plans. Will you try to calm him and get him to surrender? Will you stall and bide your time before for a major extraction? How many hostages will you save? These are many of the exciting decisions you will make in a game of Hostage Negotiator!
