Everyone is talking about Cyberpunk TCG
Cyberpunk TCG, the most successful Trading Card Game Kickstarter ever, has been making waves in the tabletop world. Based on the world by Mike Pondsmith, but more famously from the Cyberpunk 2077 video game, the Cyberpunk TCG puts you back in the streets of Night City. You and your opponent take on the role of a gang leader scoring gigs and building your street cred against rivals.
The Cyberpunk TCG is a 2-player competitive card game. Each player takes on the role of Rival gang leaders, leading their crews to control Night City. Complete Gigs and steal your opponent’s Gigs to earn street cred. Upgrade your gear, send out your units, and rule Night City when Cyberpunk TCG hits the tabletop.
There’s still more info to come about the Cyberpunk TCG with things subject to change. But for now, here’s some of what we know about the game itself.
40-50 card decks.
Roll dice to mark Gigs and Street Cred.
3 Legends to lead your crew.
Up to 3 copies of the same card.
Play programs, units, gears, and legends to win.
Is the Cyberpunk TCG Coming to Good Games?
In a word, yes! We already know who the distributor of Cyberpunk TCG will be in Australia. So, well be working hard with them to get this game on our shelves across all GGs (plus, we're getting in on the Kickstarter ourselves!) More news will appear the closer we get to release, so keep your eyes peeled for any Cyberpunk TCG news coming to Good Games.
This means you wouldn’t need to have backed the Kickstarter to get cards. Instead, you can head to Good Games to get your Cyberpunk TCG cards.
The Cards of Cyberpunk TCG
Straight out of Night City, here’s some of the cards coming out in this first set. Check the full gallery.
We can see Eddies (slang for Eurodollars, the currency of Cyberpunk) and RAM are key resources in the world of Cyberpunk, and that’s still very true in the TCG. You can choose to use your cards as they are or cash them in for resources.
Speaking of cards, in the Cyberypunk TCG you’ll have Units, Programs, and Gear at your disposal to take out the competition. Use them to complete Gigs and amass Street Cred while at the same time stopping your opponent’s progress.
Legends sit outside your deck. You’ll have up to 3 of them, ready to assist your criminal empire.
What Loot Can I Crack?
With the first set of the Cyberpunk TCG, Welcome to Night City, you can expect to see Booster Packs, Booster Boxes, and Starter Decks. You've probably seen a bunch of other special cards and accessories based on the Cyberpunk TGC's Kickstarter's tiers and stretch goals. These might make it to stores later on, but we can at least be pretty sure that we'll have packs, boxes, and decks for you to crack.
There's definitely going to be more news when it comes to the release of Cyberpunk TCG, so make sure to stay tuned. Follow us on socials or sign up for our newsletter to stay on top of the feed!
