About the role

This position is responsible for the fulfillment of our daily orders from the online TCG Singles website. Currently based in our Good Games Parramatta Head Office, and ideal for candidates with a passion for various kinds of TCG such as MTG, Pokemon, or Flesh and Blood.

Location: Good Games Head Office Fulfillment Center

  • Our new warehouse is located at Milperra, with ample parking
  • Initial training will be at our current location in Parramatta

Responsibilities:

  • Picks and packs products and TCG singles to fulfill daily orders.
  • Maintain products in an organized manner with rotation of goods as required.
  • Aid in the receiving and unboxing of incoming TCG Stocks
  • Complete reporting and procedural documentation as required. 
  • Monitors product quality and reports problems to mitigate safety issues.
  • Utilizes a continuous improvement mindset and assists in identifying opportunities to improve operational processes.
  • Maintains a clean, organized, and safe work area.
  • Follow the directions of management, shift leaders, and other senior staff for other duties as required.

Salary Package:

•    Casual Hourly Based on Retail Level 1 Award (Loading may apply)

Skill & experience

Requirements:

  • Experience and knowledge of TCG or other related products are highly preferred.
  • Experience working in a warehouse environment or dealing with shipment is highly preferred.
  • Great work ethic with the ability to work in a diversified environment professionally.
  • Good Attitude & shows initiative
  • Can work under pressure in a busy and dynamic environment

About the role

The Area Manager is responsible for the operations, performance and income of a group of up to eight hybrid Retail and Organised Play Stores within a region. One of our two Sydney Area Manager roles recently became vacant and we are looking for our next enthusiastic leader. 

What is the role like?

Working in your stores, and sometimes from home, you will direct and support Store Managers and Assistant Store Managers to:

  • Implement business initiatives as directed by Head Office
  • Manage the employee lifecycle in stores, with support from dedicated in-house HR (including hiring, recruiting, training, developing and managing staff performance issues).

Additionally, you will work with the General Manager, Head Office and your peer Area Managers to:

  • Drive team performance and productivity within your own stores and across the broader business
  • Engage in problem solving and occasional approved project-style work to innovate our practices and ensure continual improvement for the business
  • Set sales targets and budgets for stores 

Remuneration and duration

The minimum salary for an Area Manager at Good Games is $80,000 pa plus super, with the initial offer contingent on relevant experience. Additionally, an expenses card for fuel and other relevant expenses will be supplied.

Skill & experience

Our Area Managers are self-motivated and focused on operational performance and efficiency, with a passion for customer service. Here’s what we’re looking for:

  • 2+ years experience managing a team, preferably with some multi-site experience.
  • Experience in retail operations, with focus on continual improvement and enhancing business performance.
  • A team player who thrives in a collaborative environment.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • A keen eye for detail, with the ability to keep cool under pressure.
  • Tech-savvy with solid computer skills.
  • A love for tabletop and trading card games will be highly regarded.
  • A drivers licence and a willingness to travel to multiple locations in the Sydney area each week is required. Preferred applicants will have their own vehicle and will receive an expense card for fuel and some other expenses. Additional travel may apply at times, including interstate for conventions and other events (expenses paid).

As a Retail Store Assistant Manager, you will ensure the store opens and closes are run smoothly and efficiently. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Ensure stock levels are well maintained - assist the store manager in ordering and receiving stock for the store.
  • Oversee the merchandising of stock, as well as general tidiness of the store.
  • Acts as the most senior staff member responsible for the store in the absence of the store manager.
  • Direct other staff members in the performance of their daily duties.
  • Handle customer concerns and complaints.
  • Perform financial responsibilities for the store including banking and reporting.
  • Communicate with our head office and other entities within the company.
