Description

Barathus are the apex lifeform of Bretheda's gas-giant ecosystem, and as such feature several unusual evolutionary adaptations. They are able to rewrite their own genetic code and even manufacture various substances within their own body, making them quite well known within the Pact Worlds economy. More interestingly, the Barathu have a nebulous sense of self, as they often merge with other Barathus in times of need or crisis to form an entirely separate identity. The larger combinatory entities can even provide a permanent residence as part of a corporation, government, or cultural repository.
