A tempting, strategic game where your soul could be the price of victory!
A tempting, strategic game where your soul could be the price of victory!
In Deal with the Devil, you take on a secret role—mortal, cultist, or even the Devil—each with its own hidden objectives, making every game experience unique. Set in a medieval fantasy world, you must navigate a web of blind trades, tempting deals, and the constant threat of the Inquisition, all while building your city and managing your soul.
The game features a blind trading phase, where players offer resources in exchange for money from others. The Devil tempts mortals with valuable goods in exchange for pieces of their soul, while cultists are more than willing to sell out for quick gains. However, secrecy is key, as showing off your success too openly can draw the suspicion of the other players and attract the Inquisition's watchful eye.
Each role—whether mortal, cultist, or Devil—offers distinct strategies, encouraging players to experiment with different approaches in every playthrough. Will you sacrifice pieces of your soul early to boost your progress, or carefully navigate loans and debts, waiting for your opponents to reveal their true allegiances? The game's shifting dynamics and the hidden roles keep players guessing and strategizing until the very end.
Game Summary
Deal with the Devil is a deeply thematic, competitive Eurogame full of hidden identities and strategic twists. Each player’s role influences their game objectives, creating a rich experience of bluffing, negotiation, and city-building. The tension of trading your soul versus maintaining your morality, paired with the looming threat of the Inquisition, ensures that every decision has a weighty consequence. Ideal for those who love deep strategy and thematic immersion.
