With our Magic Standard League coming to an end this weekend, Good Games have designed a new league for the format: Legacy.
Here’s a quick run down on how we run our MTG Leagues.
It is typically a 10 week event that alternates from Good Games Burwood and Good Games Sydney every Sunday. It is 4 rounds of swiss, each round being 40 minutes. Prizes are pretty schweet being $100 store credit guaranteed for first place, then $20 and $15 for second and third.
All wins, loss and byes are recorded and by the end of the 10 week period we crown a League Champion. The Champion walks away with the ultimate prize (normally around $400-$500)
In this instance, the format is Legacy and the ultimate prize being 4 x Tarmogoyfs!
*a Goyf is normally worth about $80-$100 each and is a staple for 90% of legacy and extended decks all round.
